In recent years, Indonesian pop culture has experienced a significant surge in popularity, both domestically and internationally. This study examines the factors contributing to the rise of Indonesian entertainment and popular videos on YouTube. Through a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data, this research investigates the content, audience engagement, and cultural significance of Indonesian popular videos on YouTube. The findings suggest that Indonesian entertainment and popular videos have become increasingly popular due to their unique blend of local and global content, as well as the growing online presence of Indonesian celebrities and influencers.
