Step Up 1 follows the story of Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum), a troubled teenager who gets sentenced to community service at a local dance school. There, he meets Sophie (Jenna Dewan), a beautiful and talented dancer who becomes his love interest. As Tyler learns to dance and connect with Sophie, he discovers his passion for dance and finds a new sense of purpose.
