The story begins with Van Helsing (played by Hugh Jackman) arriving in Budapest, Hungary, where he hopes to find and kill the notorious vampire lord, Count Dracula. However, upon his arrival, he discovers that Dracula has formed an alliance with other powerful monsters, including a werewolf and a Frankenstein's monster.
