The game's narrative takes place six years after the events of Resident Evil 2. Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, is on a mission to rescue the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, from a mysterious cult in rural Spain. As Leon navigates the Spanish countryside, he encounters hordes of infected villagers, known as Ganados, who are hell-bent on stopping him.
