Born Victor Santiago, Noreaga grew up in the Queensbridge projects in New York City. He began his music career in the mid-1990s, gaining recognition through his appearances on various mixtapes and guest verses on other artists' tracks. In 1998, he released "Nore" on Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records, which helped establish him as a rising talent in the hip-hop world.
