The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. has a new night guard, Bobron (Scoot McNairy), who discovers a magical tablet that brings the museum's exhibits to life. However, things take a turn when an evil Egyptian pharaoh, Kahmunrah (Jonah Hill), learns about the tablet and wants to use its power to control the world.
