The ASX powertrain features a 1.8-liter inline-four engine with VVT. The engine was designed to provide a balance between fuel efficiency and performance. The authors employed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize the engine's intake and exhaust systems, as well as its combustion chamber design. The results showed a significant improvement in engine efficiency and performance.
