Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 action-adventure film directed by John Guillermin. The movie is a reboot of the King Kong franchise and takes place in the 1970s, during the Vietnam War era. The story follows a team of scientists and soldiers who embark on an expedition to a remote island in the Pacific, known as Skull Island, where they encounter the legendary giant ape, Kong.
