The movie begins with Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) arriving in Margrave, a small town in Georgia. He is on his way to Boston to meet a friend. However, his plans change when he is arrested for murder. Reacher is accused of killing the town's police chief. As he tries to clear his name, he discovers a conspiracy related to a military sniper.
